Px Group has announced the opening of a new engineering office in 2020Park in Stavanger, marking its first permanent presence in Norway. This move underscores px Group’s commitment to strengthening its global engineering services, advancing its sustainability efforts, and contributing to decarbonisation initiatives across Europe.

Located in one of Norway’s most dynamic cities, the new office will serve as a strategic hub for px Group’s operations in the region. The company aims to help partners in areas such as engineering, commissioning, advanced manufacturing, and technical advisory, working closely with local businesses to foster innovation and predictable performance while meeting environmental targets and regulatory requirements.

Committing to regional growth

In the past year, px Group has already formed a partnership with Hydrogen Solutions (HYDS) to accelerate the development of low-carbon renewable fuels and power. This new Stavanger base broadens px Group’s potential to collaborate with other like-minded organisations seeking engineering and operational support for energy assets and infrastructure projects across Scandinavia.

Raymond Smebye, px Group’s Business Development Director Scandinavia, said: “We see this as an excellent opportunity to bring our engineering heritage and expertise to Norway. We believe local talent will be key to our success, and we look forward to hiring senior engineers with strong knowledge of Norwegian standards and regulations. By tailoring our services to each client’s needs, we can offer a flexible and collaborative approach that supports technology-focused businesses across the region and beyond".

Collaboration with Invest in Rogaland

In establishing its new office, px Group has benefitted from working closely with local partners. Through Invest in Rogaland’s support, the company gained connections to relevant industry clusters, market insights and guidance on site selection. Speaking on the collaboration, Raymond Smebye said: “Working with Invest in Rogaland has provided us with valuable insights into the region’s industrial landscape, helping us lay the groundwork for a successful transition into the Norwegian market.”

Mette Fossan, Head of Economic Development at Rogaland County Council, said: “We are thrilled to see px Group commiting to Rogaland as a strategic region. Having witnessed their dedication to collaborating with local partners and building long-term ties, we are glad that Invest in Rogaland has been able support them from the outset and will continue to do so going forward. We wish px Group the best of luck as they grow in our region.”

Px group owns and operates saltend chemicals park in the Humber region, giving the company significant energy integration and asset management experience, which they now aim to share with the Norwegian market.

Looking ahead

Px Group’s decision to locate in Stavanger reflects the city’s renowned reputation for energy-sector innovation and a growing focus on sustainable engineering solutions. By combining its heritage of operating complex industrial facilities with local expertise, px Group is well-positioned to support Norway’s drive towards decarbonisation.

To meet increasing demand, px Group is seeking skilled professionals to join the Stavanger team.  For more information about career opportunities and the company’s services, visit the px Group website.
