Vårgrønn’s CEO [Olav Hetland](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAE9NcQBw6TqyVCuvj0FLgbwpdUeQEB-RdE) stated in his opening address that Stavanger is synonymous with the ability to transform. This statement that was further strengthened with speakers from regional companies such as: [Nordic Steel AS](https://www.linkedin.com/company/nordic-steel-as/) who has delivered to Doggerbank, Hornsea 3, Sunrise Wind and East Anglia Three. [IKM Group](https://www.linkedin.com/company/ikm-gruppen-as/), whose turnover is almost 20% within renewables, a number which is expected to increase as the industry moves over to an O&M phase. In addition, it was interesting to hear the perspectives of startups such as [Vind AI](https://www.linkedin.com/company/vind-technologies/) and international developers [SSE Renewables](https://www.linkedin.com/company/sse-renewables/) and [Flotation Energy](https://www.linkedin.com/company/flotationenergy/). Access to skills and competence will be important moving forward, as evidenced by [Nasjonalt Kompetansesenter for Havvind](https://www.linkedin.com/company/nasjonalt-kompetansesenter-for-havvind/), and therefore it was so great to see that students from [MEES UiS](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAADeV5vgBz9QE0ag4A7Q-BlU4OY5GMdRg9oU) were invited too!
