- Stavanger is synonymous with the ability to transform

Rogaland-based offshore wind developer Vårgrønn hosted the annual Vårgrønnkonferansen on Sep 20th, together with Næringsforeningen i Stavanger-regionen.

Vårgrønn’s CEO Olav Hetland stated in his opening address that Stavanger is synonymous with the ability to transform.

This statement that was further strengthened with speakers from regional companies such as:

Nordic Steel AS who has delivered to Doggerbank, Hornsea 3, Sunrise Wind and East Anglia Three.

IKM Group, whose turnover is almost 20% within renewables, a number which is expected to increase as the industry moves over to an O&M phase.

In addition, it was interesting to hear the perspectives of startups such as Vind AI and international developers SSE Renewables and Flotation Energy.

Access to skills and competence will be important moving forward, as evidenced by Nasjonalt Kompetansesenter for Havvind, and therefore it was so great to see that students from MEES UiS were invited too!
