The key features of Beyonder's Li-ion battery include fast charging, exceptional longevity, and sustainable chemistry. With a full charge or discharge time of 10-12 minutes, the battery ensures swift access to energy. Its lifespan of over 10,000 cycles outperforms conventional batteries, promising durability and reliability. Moreover, Beyonder's commitment to sustainable chemistry involves eliminating cobalt, nickel, and graphite from the battery composition, contributing to a cleaner energy future.

To meet the demand for its innovative battery technology, Beyonder has established long-term production agreements with experienced Asian giga-scale battery manufacturers. Production of Beyonder's BePowered cell is set to commence as early as Q1 2024.

In terms of sustainability, Beyonder has chosen an outsourcing partner with a strong focus on environmentally responsible practices, utilizing over 70% hydropower in its energy mix. This aligns with Beyonder's mission to provide eco-friendly energy solutions.

Svein Kvernstuen, CEO of Beyonder, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "After 7 years of extensive product development, I am proud to now announce Beyonder’s first commercial and attractive battery cell. This is a significant milestone for us, and I would like to thank all our fantastic Beyonder employees, our important partners, and also Norwegian authorities for their support and contributions during this journey. We are now in a position to deliver fully tested and certified batteries to our partners and customers."

Industry leaders have shown enthusiasm for the new technology. Hagal Ocean anticipates using Beyonder batteries in aquaculture and ferry operations, while Nordic Batteries sees the potential to enhance their product range for grid stabilization and backup solutions.

Beyonder's Li-ion battery marks a significant step towards a cleaner and more efficient energy future. With its focus on sustainability, performance, and reliability, it offers a promising solution for various industrial applications.
